Frequently Asked Questions
What is the tuition for 2023-24?
The tuition for the program is $7,500. As an incentive, if you are able to raise or pay the full amount by the first day of the program, we will credit $500 towards your tuition.
What does tuition cover?
The actual cost per Fellow exceeds $20,000. Thanks to the generosity of the community and local churches, we are able to significantly reduce the cost to you.
Tuition includes:
Housing
An overseas mission trip (past destinations include Israel, Greece, and the Dominican Republic)
Six trips to inspiring locations, including the Fellows Initiative National Conference
Graduate-level classes and leadership training using the Carnegie Leadership Method
A two-day development course at the Center for Creative Leadership
Five professional assessments
Multiple outings, meals, and shared experiences
Is there an age limit for the Fellows Program?
We accept candidates between the ages of 21 and 26. If you are older than 26, we encourage you to reach out and discuss your situation with us. We’re happy to explore how the Fellows Program could still be a good fit for you.
Do you need a college degree to apply?
Not necessarily. The Fellows Program is a career accelerator. If your desired career requires a degree, we recommend completing your degree before applying. However, if your career path does not require higher education or instead requires an alternative certification (such as computer programming), a college degree is not necessary.
How do you choose the church I’ll attend?
We take an organic approach, starting with a conversation about your interests and preferences. We spend time praying and reflecting to match you with a church that seems like the best fit for you spiritually and personally.
How do you help me find a job?
Finding a job is a collaborative process. We start by understanding your career goals and aspirations. Then, we do the legwork to connect you with opportunities that align with your aspirations. While we facilitate the process, the final hiring decisions are made by employers according to their practices. Our goal is to ensure that you experience a real hiring process, from the interview to the final offer.
Is this too good to be true?
We are committed to making the Winston-Salem Fellows Program one of the best in the world. Yes, we are proud of what we offer, but the true secret to our success lies in you, the Fellow. It’s your passion, dedication, and drive that make this program so extraordinary.
