What is the tuition for 2023-24?

The tuition is $7,500. As an incentive, if you are able to raise or pay the entire amount by the first day of the program, we will credit your tuition cost $500.

What does tuition go toward?

The actual per Fellow cost for the Fellow is over $20,000. We are able to reduce the cost to the Fellow because of the generosity of the community and the local church.

Tuition includes housing, an overseas mission trip*, six trips to beautiful locations, including the Fellows Initiative National Conference. It also covers costs associated with our Graduate Level Classes and Leadership Training using the Carnegie Leadership Method as well as a two-day development course at the Center for Creative Leadership. Additionally, tuition pays for the five assessments our fellows undergo, not to mention the multiple outings, meals, and experiences that we get to share together.

*Our overseas mission trip will be at places like Israel, Greece, and the Dominican Republic.

Is there an age limit to the Fellows?

We accept candidates between 21 and 26 years old. If you are older than 26, we encourage you to reach out to us and discuss why the Fellows might be a good option for you.

Do you have to have a college degree?

Not necessarily. We are a career accelerator. So if the career you are looking to have requires a college degree, then we recommend first graduating before applying. However, if you career does not require higher education or requires an alternative certificate (like computer programming for instance) then no, you do not need a degree.

How do you decide on the church we attend?

We go through an organic process that begins with you. We talk about your interests and preferences and pray (a lot!) and then place you in the church that seems like the best fit.

How do you go about finding me a job?

Again, we begin with you. We work with each Fellow to find the best opportunity that aligns with his or her career aspirations. We do a lot of the legwork and arrange the marriage as best we can. However, this is a real hire. We want our Fellows to experience the interview and hiring process. On the employer side, we always defer to them and follow their business practice.

Is this too good to be true?

We are committed to making the Winston-Salem Fellows Program the very best of its kind in the world. Yes. We’re good. The secret honestly is you, the Fellow. They are the ones that make this program so special.
