Crossnore School and Children’s Home is a Trauma Informed School and Residential Community that serves orphans and foster children. It is one of the most redemptive pieces of land in America.
Its nearly 200 acres sits between some of our wealthiest and poorest neighborhoods. For many years it has served as a barrier between the rich and the poor. In recent times, it is becoming a BRIDGE!
And the Fellows get to be a part of it.
What does the rooming look like?
Each Fellow gets a 13’ x 13’ room to themselves. They share a full bathroom with one other Fellow. There are two large laundry rooms.
There is a huge kitchen and multiple common spaces.
Fellows also have chores!
We do our best to love our neighbor by picking up after ourselves as well as keeping our common spaces clean.

The best part is that we are literally Downtown!
Hanes Park, The YMCA, Louie & Honey (the best cinnamon rolls in the world!), Cafe Gelato, Joymongers Brewery, Bobby Boy Bakery, The Krankies Coffee Airstream (to name a few) are all less than a five minute walk!
