The Renaissance Has begun
That star in the upper left corner of this website? It’s a Moravian Star, the symbol of a devout group of Christians who migrated from Eastern Europe in 1753 to settle in what was then called the Wachovia Tract. Over 250 years later, we’re reconnecting to their legacy of hard work, creativity, and a love for all people.
Winston-Salem is experiencing an exciting renaissance. Recently named the City of Arts and Innovation, this community is embracing a new sense of possibility and cultural identity. It’s more than just the vibrant downtown or music venues like The Ramkat, Wiseman’s Brewery, Fiddlin’ Fish, and Radar; it’s the imaginative energy that millennials bring to the city. US News & World Report ranked Winston-Salem as one of the best mid-sized cities to relocate to in America.
But it’s not just about the new wave of innovation. Winston-Salem has a rich history that serves as the foundation for our creative future.
